An interesting piece of information from a few years ago......
I got told this in the summer but completley forgot to post it
Anyway, before Chelsea were taking over by Abromavich, QPR, Fulham and Chelsea has all agreed to building a single stadium for them all to share on the site that is now Westfield. The plans were all finalised and accepted by the council-the only reason for it not going ahead was that the Police did not want to have to manage up to three games a week.
Could you imagine us in a 30/40000 seater stadium? Crazy
Oh dear oh dear your clearly having a laugh, never heard so much piffle.
The Westfield site or what was originally called the WCCS (White City Centre Site) had a feasilibilty study undertaken on it to turn it into a shopping complex something like 15+ years ago, I actually got taken on a tour off it as part of a school project (I got a B+ for in fact).
Since I was 20 years of age it was common knowledge growing up in White City that a large shopping complex was to be built on that site.
Don't know who told you that but they were having a laugh.

No, he's in the know mate. If you don't believe him then tough.
He won't post anymore itk knowledge if you carry on
Right, must have heard that wrong then!! Mo doubt there was plans. I must have heard wrong re Westfield but 100% sure plans were submitted and only the police stopped it becoming a reallity. Not sure of the location then.
I'm going to give you the benefit of my local knowledge and say the 2 most likely locations for such a plan.
1) The Unigate Site on the opposite side of White City Station to Westfield
2) Wormwood Scrubs / West London Stadium.
The Unigate Site is one I'm convinced we will move to one day.
the thing about the stadium on westfield is rubbish
certainly preliminary plans for a stadium were drawn up based on the unigate site the other side of white city station but westfield, drawn up and approved by the council, No
Sorry never see that but yes Peter that is correct.
I also think those Unigate plans might have included a a ground share with Fulham but not 100% on that one.

The Westfield Shopping Centre plans were on the burner for years and years, certainly since the early '90s and there have never been any plans for it to be used for a football stadium. The Unigate site was once mooted by Fayed and his cronies for a potential site for Fulham and I would imagine there would have been some form of discussions with QPR about it. However, no planning application was ever put forward, let alone permission granted, for a football ground on the site (check LBH&F planning records), so there was nothing ever created for the old bill to object to. So whoever this QPR director was must have been a little 'confused'.

Reason: typo
"Right, must have heard that wrong then!"
"Trust me its spot on"
How can it be spot on one minute and maybe heard it wrong the next, this is exactly the sort of thing that is then spread by other people as gospel because someone ( a moderator even) has said its spot on straight from a directors mouth. when actually its away with the fairies stuff
I know its a message board, not a court of law but even so people should think before posting something as supposed fact.
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks
No stress at my end, completely chilled and I dont think i have conveyed any stress in my posts.
So are you now saying you no longer believe the information the director gave you was correct or that you may have remembered and repeated it incorrectly?
Paladini
Bill Power
Nick Blackburn
Ross Jones
or are we going further back?
Still chillaxed but very interested
