Yes Timmy levels ahead as Kenny was an experienced keeper with a season of premier league football behind him. Best player today and hope the improvement continues.

Faurlin is worth 10 Luongos. Adele and Ali embarrassed teams week in week out. Unfair to put any of our current team up against Adel, outrageous talent, albeit wasted.

That team was right players and right manager at right time.

Adel was most talented player I have seen in this division but very frustrating. Warnock had right players in dressing room (Paddy, Derry, Clint) to ensure his instructions were carried out. Those instructions were to let Adel do what he wanted because he would win matches on this own at this level. That meant rest of team working extra hard around him. It worked. Was never going to work in Premiership but gave us great season and Adel's moments of brilliance were at times sublime.

Current team nowhere near that level but best feel about any Rs team since then. Similar feel character wise with some good experienced pros and some talent thrown in. SM doing great job in difficult circumstances. Feel squad been at similar level since our last relegation but just not right manager so hats off to SM, especially after that poor start. Saw it wasn't working and changed it. Best I have felt about team in years.

No comparison. Not even close. Adel was world class that season, we had Walker leaving Billy Whizz smoke behind him, we had Faurlin and Derry and Hill and HH and PK. We were mustard. This team is a mild hollandaise.

Timmy. Not even close in my book. Cameron as good as Derry? Lumley and Kenny even? Gorkss, Heidar, Connolly were immense that year as was Mackie until his leg break at Blackburn.

Also don't forget how good Smith was that season. I'd say all 11 are better than what we have today.

Old team would beat the new team 2-0.

Tommy was one of my favorite players but Freeman is levels ahead of him. Even Pavel is better than Smith IMO.

What about Akos Buzsaky as well who was better than any of our current crop right now.

Walker was mustard for us, literally was outrageous.

Will never forget walker in particulars performance at Portman Rd that season. Won 0-3, Mackie hatrick from memory.

Take walker and Adel out of that side and replace with Orr & Hogan and today’s team sneak a 2-1 win

Walker only played half a season then was on loan at Villa so he was out of the team for most of the season. Not for me Rich that team was special as was the whole season and most importantly we actually dominated and won it something this team have not or are unlikely to.
