Lumley - nothing to do really but looked assured.
    Rangel - solid
Leistner / Lynch - won everything in the air, both gave commanding performances was great to see
Bidwell - quiet game not much to do
Freeman - didn’t do much and guilty of taking too many touches and losing it a few times especially first half
Eze - not really in the game but quality when he had the ball, drew about 6 or 7 fouls in the game through typical neat footwork and quicksilver turns
Loungo - improved performance, back on the front foot with more energy and anticipation
Cousins - good energy and bite alongside Loungo ensured we won the central midfield battle
Hemed - excellent hold up play at times was a real treat to have the ball sticking, worked a couple of chances for himself but couldn’t finish
Wells - excellent movement, coming deep and spinning into channels, plus just puts himself about and is a livewire. Can also carry the ball forward and burst into counter attacks at speed. Unlucky with one or two chances he fashioned for himself.

All in all, we dominated the game start to finish. Brum were really poor. We looked comfortable throughout but could and perhaps should have gone for it, but understandable to some degree given our start to the season. So we played it safe and came away with a point and a clean sheet. Lots of reasons to be optimistic - the front two are already making huge difference to our overall game.

Good opening post and I agree. We could have won that if we had backed ourselves

Couldn't disagree more about Luongo. Lazy as hell, and completely uninterested.

That's what I thought. And as for Freeman, don't get me started.

Nice report. Does sound encouraging.... be nice to work our way into top half of table and start looking up instead of over our shoulders. It does seem all the new recruits are adding something so it's good to see that club seem to have sorted out the bizarre and inept recruitment that's dogged us for several years.

Really can’t work what’s going on with Mass as he’s the opposite of how he was last season. It can’t be WC hangover as he got longer rest then any other player in squad, when you add his two periods together, and done nothing in WC so he can’t be tired

Freeman is playing how he did last year, hence why few of us were having a go and asking questions of him, only difference last season he camouflaged his disinterest by chipping in with assists. Freeman is Freeman he plays for himself, should have taken £4mil as it was very fair price probably slightly inflated
