I was watching the season review dvd from that year and the Southampton game after his death was one of the games that stood out. Only feels like yesterday so it's incredible to think 11 years have since passed. Probably one of the strangest atmospheres I've ever been part of at a football game as the crowd was obviously in mourning and the result irrelevant. RIP Ray.
On the subject of that season, quite a similarities to this: early season struggles (didn't get first win until October), spanked by west Brom, bhattia (&co) getting involved with the club, loan signings to the rescue (here's hoping).
