Eze signing on is a boost to the club and the fans.

Apparently Sainsbury got really confused when his agent told him PSV, QPR, PNE, PSG and WBA were all interested in him.

A bit of perspective is in order, I feel.
I think majority thought Sainsbury would have been good and suitable for us, hence the disappointment. Nothing bad in that IMO.

Reigning Champions, Champions League v. QPR?

          Was it really any contest?
No. You can't blame him and we can't blame our owners surely?

i'm fairly sure that there's a couple of people here that will find a way to blame our owners...

Obviously Eze. Still isn't good enough for some though.

FFS HERE WE GO AGAIN can't anybody have an opinion in case it' offends the owners or board I have a strong opinion that we spent to long on this and here we go two days to window shutting and we've lost out on a 27 year old world cup star on free transfer that has chosen a bigger club in a bigger league no one can obviously blame him it's his career , can anybody justify the board waiting until two days before the close , or doesnt any body think we can get left short or could find ourselves taking someone no better than what we've got just to fill numbers ,
then again I suppose I just love knocking my club

No. But what makes it worse is all the usual nonsense claims to be getting business done early.

And yes, course you can have an opinion.

Brighton. Unfortunately it is the way it is now at QPR.

I understand that but this sort of thing happens and not just to QPR. I don't know why the default position on here seems to be that the board are incompetent every time something doesn't go our way. It's not like there is a huge list of decent players out there that a) are for sale and b) we can afford.

Buffs you've answered your own question there if there isn't a huge list out there , that we can afford then why waste time on a 27 year old world cup star for free as if he would opt for a skint shepherds Bush back street club when a champion league club comes calling or the way Turkish clubs throw money about as I said should've moved on last week and the board not the owners should've been wise to that

Agree with Dogs here we have history of chasing players who view us as option B and fall back position

in these circumstances I would say to players like this we’re moving on if you don’t get club and we have not signed anyone let us know but we’re not hanging around for you.

I would however not get upset about missing out, as others have pointed out before his name was raised I had never heard of him and can’t not honestly say if he’s any good (guessing same applies for 90% of posters) so why cry over it

The trouble is, most of the delay with this one has been negotiating with his chinese club. It wasn't until he cancelled his contract that PSV jumped in.

As I said, it's very easy to say all this with hindsight - I can't find anyone's post from two weeks ago saying that we should forget about him and move on.
