Anyone else think he is close to being back to his best?
I know the club got slaughtered for bringing him back, but at least he shows a bit of ******** and cares for the club, which matters alot in this time of need
ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.
THE WEST LONDON 90 MINUTE FOOTBALL SHOW EVERY MONDAY FROM 9.30PM http://mixlr.com/the90mfs/
i think to use him to the best of his ability we need a big man in the box. he put in a few good balls yesterday but the strikers were too small
True - except Bent, for all his faults, is that "big man". Obviously the tactics planned for a lump up front and didn't anticipate him getting injured so soon. The daft thing is we continued the tactic after he went off - when the diddy men had no chance of competing for any ball with snow on it!

the only positive thing to happen in the last couple of weeks.
not sure you could really say its the one thing we did right though. it's cost a lot of money to have him sit on the treatment table for the best part of 18 months.
I posted a huge positive about Cookie the other day - he wore the armband which is a double positive = Cookie is back and Legs is nowhere near the pitch
Said it all last year that he will get good. Too many fans do not appreciate how little football he had played, so to get back to your best straight away just isnt going to happen. THe more he plays, the less it will play on his mind and the better the performance.
It's one thing to doubt if his fitness would ever be right again, but I can't see how any sane person could ever doubt his ability and commitment.
We're lucky to have him.
I'll stick my neck out here, and say similar about Buzsaky.
His confidence has suffered more than anyone in the squad lately, with all the madness at the club. But I honestly believe that he is the best all-round player at the club, and is commited.
One or two good games from him, and it will all come flooding back.
Plenty of class players have confidence dips, and he's possibly mentally fragile, but he'll come through it. He's too good a player to write off.
It that it then? One or two good performances and we should hail the club for re-signing him? Lets praise those who deserve to be praised when he has performed consistently well for the rest of the season. If he has a bad game in the not to distant future are we people then going to say we shouldn't have signed him? Careers, whether it be on the pitch or off it aren't judged on a couple of matches. Cook, like those who brought him back to club should be judged on 10 games or 20 games. Not just 2 or 3.

I started a similar thread on Reports site yesterday about handing him the captains armband for the rest of the season. However, when you do it you have to come across smug, why?
Lets put it into perspective Cook has been useless since his return and it has taken him over 18 months to show glimpses of the player he was. Long way to go for Cook IMO, but he looks like he is prepared to roll up his sleeves.
