- we could afford to buy a player for £1m, because the purchase cost is spread across the contract length (so if it's a 4-year contract, we expense £250k per year).
- if we're close to the limit for ffp, then a major cause of this will be the £5m interest charge on ruben's loans that could be reduced to £0 if ruben wanted that to happen.
also... i think the fee being asked is actually $1m AUD - roughly £565k. that said... i think sainsbury might be after higher wages than we pay nowadays.
plus... i still don't see any of these images of sainsbury's passport on his actual instagram account - still think they're dodgy (although the most recent picture does at least show a blue australian passport, rather than a burgundy british one).
