If that was indeed the case, then fines are negotiable and we should stick to our guns - disputing and challenging our fine size.QPR since 1993

And if you're looking for a shred of hope, this should make you change your mind: 'In reaching a settlement, the EFL acknowledges that the club did not make any deliberate attempt to infringe the Rules or to deceive'...
It's time the board paid up and shut up.

We signed up to the agreement, knew exactly what the potential fine would be and have been laughed out of court trying to get out of it.
Pay up and move on.
If we had been laughed out of court we would have paid by now.

On the contrary, this shows that fines are negotiable, so we should keep fighting to reach a reduced settlement.QPR since 1993

They can't force us to pay the fine because it's not a criminal or civil case, but the Football League will start to lose their patience.soon and we will face expulsion at worse or a significant transfer embargo lasting for many, many years at best.
We need to pay up and shut up.

We were liars and are making fools of ourselves. There is no room for negotiation, there is no reprieve. We were found guilty because we were and we tried to cover it over too.

We as a club are skint. So of course we should keep fighting for the best settlement we can get. And the Bournemouth settlement shows, that the initial fine does not equate the fine paid in the end.QPR since 1993

So any reduction of the fine would more than cover the perceived loss on the Smithies deal.

Are we skint? Yes, but it is our owners who made us skint and have given us a £40m fine which will either see us financially ruined, expelled from the league/division or banned from signing players other than freebies or youngsters for a number of years.
We need to put more pressure on the board to sort out the mess THEY created.
Even if they agree to pay £4m a year back over 10 years they need to act and stop trying to convince us that we are the aggrieved party and the victims in all this.
