i think in the old paper ticket days, this 50 quid fee was to try to prevent people claiming they'd lost their ticket book even if they hadnt, getting a new one sent out and then giving that new book to a mate. the mate would then sit in any seat that was available. which apparently went on quite a bit.
not sure how that now applies with barcoding? presumably the system will know if the card has already been scanned once?

for one small card. joke
Literally it would take the club 5 mins to print you a new one and program a new card. The technology is pretty basic to operate and they probably have the FOB programmer and printer out the back of the BO.
Working on economies of scale £5 would be a fair price to replace the FOB, but GT LeighRs is right they should be free.

Looking at Reading, it looks as though they charge £2 for another card. Watford say an "appropriate charge".
Quite poor on Watford's part as really they should state how much. But anyway, whatever it is, I'll bet it's not £50!
Oh, and W12. Good post.

To put things in perspective; they charged my son £25.00 for a duplicate ST two seasons ago.
Though £50 is a 100% increase; it would appear that "the club" has always taken a dim veiw of loyal fans. (well for the past three years or so anyway.)
