Few different alarm bells probably culminated into one big decision.
352 wasting most of our season when an amateur could see we didn't have the personnel for it to work.
Manager digging out loyal fans on tv when It's those loyal fans who've had to sit through his shite management.
Gates dropping to an absolutely embarrassing 12,000 odd in a West London derby.
Alienating players (Goss, Robinson) saying they have no future when in fact they probably could have.
Hammering our young players in interviews although they were literally trying to find their feet at the highest level they'd ever played before.
Atrocious away record.
Making stupid statements about what we're going to do to certain clubs when we play them and end up doing fk all.
Playing players with good potential then bombing them after one game (Wheeler)
Probably a load more if I could be bothered to think about it. On the whole although he steadied the ship it was a very poor appointment in IH.
Thanks for what he done, he clearly loves the club. He just hasn't got that little bit of magic he once had, way back when.

Suspect they started drawing up list of targets after end of previous season. Then as others have said after Forest. Was compounded if anything by our improving once we stopped using his silly 3-5-2 system which showed how non-sensical it was. Not sure when he was told but that probably was last straw. He then couldn't say poor season was down to quality of squad.
