It was also TF that said on the podcast that Les had had many meetings with SM over the last few months when asked about rumours of the interest in him becoming manager.
TF also stated he has no interest in selling his shares and will remain at QPR and that he has never lost the buzz for it.
What difference is a few days going to make,he is going to be our new manager, the actual day or time it is announced doesn't matter.if by next week it isn't official then I suppose we can suspect something is up with the deal .

We are QPR, many things have gone wrong over the years, you almost expect it now, there's a reason panic sets in quickly!

It's more a case of being intrigued as to why the announcement is taking so long. Every man and his dog has known for a week now that McClaren is going to be the new boss. Why wouldn't it have been announced yet? Also Tony has suggested he will be able clear everything up in a few days on his Twitter account. Those in the know also believe that discussions with McClaren have actually been ongoing for a couple of months now.
Piece it all together and I would say that it suggests there is something more complicated at play than a straight managerial appointment. I am of course making a few pretty bold assumptions, but there are definitely some clues there that there is something going on!
Delay could be due to McClaren not wishing to work under a DOF, or at least the present relatively inexperienced incumbent whom, by TF’s own admission, is still learning on the job.

But McLaren already knew that Les was here, I would imagine it was Sir Les who contacted him. If SM is not a part of a consortium ofcourse.
