Why is everything up in the air. Ollie has been sacked. Hardly ever do clubs announce a replacement at the same time. I actually think that McClaren has already got the job and been working on things with the board and Les for weeks. As it's already been quoted that SM and LF have already had many meetings and discussions. I think out of respect for Ollie the club just haven't announced it yet. There is no rush. I'd imagine everyone will be off on their holidays now anyway. Plans will have already been put in place and players scouted and even probably agents already contacted.

Am a bit surprised as to how the press are banging on about how brilliant IH has been and how harsh it is to sack him. They clearly hadn't been to half the games...
