IMO The Modfather hit the nail on the head with his thread on the Leicester match. This for me was the turning point - not Nutgate.

The Managers Job whoever held it as been constantly devalued since the takeover, being described as the 'First Team Coach' etc. The Manager should be the most important person at the club imo...
Pete, Can you honestly see players approaching Flavio directly with their complaints? Seems unlikely in my opinion

Why do we think, the players stopped putting the effort for him?
It seems evident player power won the day.

Exactly what I have been saying all along. QPR played some good football in spells during September & October, but apart from this spell were inconsistant and often struggled for goals as well as clean sheets. Whose fault was it for the defence not being good, when he changed them around like most of us change our underwear?
Yes, the players have too much power, but Magilton was also a lousy man manager.
He was having a go at Buzsaky and Vine after just a few apps (not even full games) after serious long term injuries. Then he started having go at Gorkss and even Connolly a week after returning from Glandular Fever!
Is it any wonder the players lost respect for him?
Unfortunately they have not been able to regain their confidence or even desire to play for the likes of Hart (poor tactics, team selections) or Harford (perhaps the hole they are in is too deep and he isn't capable of pulling them out of it).
QPR could probably have tried to bring in someone else rather than just make Harford a quick replacement for Hart.

the bulk of our squad are spineless, gutless, clueless and unloyal w@ankers....we'll still be there long after they are....but the same can be said for any squad of players now days....it's all about ego's and wages....IMO the fans are right to protest, boo and turn nasty....after all our £20's don't come as easy as theirs !

It went downhill the day paladini was given the power to buy players and give them stupid 3 and 4yr contracts with no need to prove themselves, all they had to do was turn up and get paid.
Getting rid of players like camp and dex was one of the worst decisions this club has ever made two young and an upcoming players discarded by a d.o.f. who hasn't got a clue.

Any manager would pull up players for not putting in the effort. Even in amateur football this happens. You get dropped,Heated exchanges and unprintable word come out of there mouths. Players then announce an appology as at Stoke & Man Utd and many more clubs i would believe.Magilton should of stayed and Buzz should of been kicked out. Did he need hospital treatment? Flavio & Paladini have ripped the heart out of this club. First division could be the price to pay.. The fans suffer once again.

Player power won the day did it, so where was the public support from the QPR Chairman / DoF when JM needed it.
Why didn't Paladini fine Buzsaky for running to the press?

He was charming as well and reminds me very much of our inept DOF."Originally Posted by qblockpete

Big mistake, should have stuck by the manager and left it behind closed doors
With hindsight, you are right. :electric_shock:

"Things Gone DownHill Since Magilton Left "
Do you ever wonder why people occasionally refer to this website as "Pravda"? A rewriting of history if ever there was one.
Did I imagine the defeat at Donny? The 5-1 home humilation against a team that probably won't score five goals away from home in total for the rest of the season? The 3-1 capitulation against Watford with players refusing to acknowledge our goal and then being assaulted?
Who was in charge for that lot?
The TRUTH, as you well know, is that Magilton was a dreadful appointment, a man with no track record for doing anything successfully other than physically and verbally assaulting and bullying players in his charge (and team mates before that), and doing a John Terry with the wives and girlfriends of his players at Ipswich. Allegedly of course.

Without doubt, you didn't watch the football we were playing.
Think less about the inidividual and the calibre of football.
You never gave him a chance before he started, so getting an unbiased from you or Writtler is going to be extremely unlikelyALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

Pete, things were going downhill long before he left...
1 win in his last 7 games, 16 conceded and 8 scored, not pretty reading is it?A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....
