What the FIA did to stop his management was to state that it would not renew any superlicence granted to Briatore-managed drivers—effectively barring him from managing drivers who participate in any competition that is under the FIA's authority.

While the appeal is still running, he has zip income from there.

I once read somewhere the model for making money out of football.

Buy a CCC club
Get them promoted on a relatively small budget as quickly as possible
Watch them triple in value over night
Then sell the club before invested any of your wealth into it once in the PL

4 year plan IMO was Flav's way off saying I have got 4 years to make a pretty penny out of this. Unfortnatley for FB he has been ill advised on various decisons made and no doubt has made some prize **** ups himself.

I wouldn't have been surprised to hear the long term plan was to sell his stake to the Mittals once we were promoted as his wealth would never cover the cost of funding a PL team.
