  • On the pitch

Was it really the pitch invasion that stopped the merger with Fulham? Would protesting in the form of staying away from matches, or shouting outside after the home games have been as effective? I think not.

As someone who got onto the pitch against Man City back in 1987, i'd like to think that this was an effective tool in saving our club. The true voice of the fans spoke that day.

It was an amazing moment when they all ran on and I remember it so well. I was in SAR that match and watched with pride. The whole stand was applauding. Proper protest with all fans united. The atmosphere was rousing when the game did go ahead and I remember going nuts when Martin Allen scored.

I just feel the present regime's biggest sin is they have managed to divide the fans thus the appaling atmosphere. With the fans united there is only one winner. Fans disenchanted like they are, well, not so sure.

What does every great army have? A good leader.

I ran on with mates from the Paddock. Man City were shouting ' boring, boring Fulham' to wind us up.
Running on definitely gave our plight more exposure than any other form of protest would've done.
