HE USED to watch Les Ferdinand score the goals at Loftus Road as a kid – now Marcus Bent wants to follow in the footsteps of the Rangers legend.
The Birmingham City striker joined QPR on loan earlier today, after failing to cement a regular starting spot at St Andrews.
And he's confident he will help get Rangers' season back on track.
He told the club website: "I am buzzing about coming here. I was brought up in Shepherds Bush and I used to go and watch the likes of Les Ferdinand and Andy Impey with my dad and uncle.
"As you kid you often follow the likes of Liverpool, and John Barnes was my idol, but QPR was a team I looked out for.
"There might be a bit of pressure on me to come here and score goals but I thrive on that kind of thing.
"I think being under pressure brings the best out of you and I put great demands on myself anyway."
Bent has been joined at Loftus Road by Ipswich Town striker Tamas Priskin, who has also arrived on loan.
