And besides, why getting rid of Flavio now. He just stated that THE CLUB HAVE LEARNT FROM THEIR MISTAKES THIS SEASON(regarding loans etc) . I mean people who get sent to prison are sooner or later entitled to make up for themselves.
Where has he said that?
Not a dig, and I hope he has.... but I haven't seen him quoted doing that.
"At one stage he vowed never to come back, but that had all changed by Sunday," said the insider."
Reminds me of this song:
ANDRE
Your public needs you!
FIRMIN
We need you, too!
CARLOTTA
Would you not
rather have your
precious little
Amit?
ANDRE/FIRMIN
Signora, no!
the world wants you!
ANDRE/FIRMIN
Prima donna
first lady of the stage!
Your devotees
are on their knees
to implore you !
ANDRE
Can you bow out
when they're shouting
your name?
FIRMIN
Think of how they all
adore you!
BOTH
Prima donna,
enchant us once again!
ANDRE
Think of your muse . . .
FIRMIN
And of the queues
round the stadium!
BOTH
Can you deny us the triumph
in store?
Sing, prima donna, once more!
I can understand flav being annoyed at the protest, there's not enough reason to go. You'd walk in style if there were 2,000 people giving you gip, rather than being presented with just a handful of under-age drinkers.

Fair point, but I was stood there for quite a while.
And it depends what constitutes a "handful". I'd say there was a couple of hundred. Enough to make it pretty serious.
And it really wasn't just kids/teenagers. Maybe at the very front it was, but that's the way younger ones are!
Not saying it was exactly Miners Strike Stuff... but I think it's dangerous and misguided for FB to think that it was just some silly kids having a drunken lark.

i was there too and it was 200-300. i'm 37 and i was a few mates in their 30s and 40s. so like you say, the numbers and ages were misreported. further to that, i think it was reported that about 600 man utd fans protested outside their ground against the glazers - out of a crowd of 75000. what the protests need isa central demand and a clear message and that is not coming through at the moment, but it has made the board and the media sit up and take notice and, at this stage, that's a positive thing.
Exactly put your clown costumes away and put your energy into supporting our club and stop trying to make us look stupid(because that's all it does)
i thought the protests were exactly that... supporting the club - maybe you have other ideas on the merits or not of briatore's reign but those that did protest did so out of concern for their club, which in my book is 'supporting the club'. you perhaps need to distinguish between supporting the club and 'getting behind the team'.
