this salivating email thread that has been posted off to the mittals - with 70-odd posters bowing down to amit and his family's billions - can someone please explain to me why so many have decided the mittals are the saviour when you all said the exact same thing about briatore and probably chris wright too. hasn't history taught you anything?

and dissenters will be removed from this mass online #### ###... oh dear.

Maybe all football club owners are clueless f***wits.

But I'd say that thread is a last throw of the dice for those who hope that while we had one poxy owner in Chris Wright, and then a second in FB... maybe even QPR aren't that unlucky that the 3rd one would turn out to be as clueless and hopeless as the others?

The key word being "Hope". Based on not a lot, other than that.

Learned nothing?? maybe not. But while most know that it's a risk, your scenario is flawed too.
Because I'm sure Aston Villa fans were saying the same hopeful things when the finally got rid of "Deadly Doug" Ellis, and the American rode into town. Luckily for them, they were right.
I'm sure there were a few posters on their messageboards saying exactly what you've said above. And luckily for Villa, they were wrong.
      Works both ways.

Maybe, just maybe we might break the jinx of attracting very rich, very arrogant, very stupid owners?
      Long shot? yes.
But worth a f*****g try, no?

I am not at all convibced that they would even be interested in buyig out FB & BE.

Even if they did, they do not appear to be the type of owners that Abramovitch or the Abu Dhabi owners of Man City are. I doubt very much if they would throw (invest) millions of ££s at QPR. If they were, what has stopped them publicly offering FB/QPR multi million £ transfer budget, like some other owners/directors have at other clubs.

Usmanovic, has often been quoted as saying he is willing to give (not via a club loan)Wenger the funds to buy established big name stars. Lakshmi Mittal/Amit Bhatia could have said here is £5M, buy Beckford and Hooper etc.

Don't kid yourselves that the Mittals are the good guys who will happily send QPR on a spending spree and build a new 40,000 seater stadium etc.

I'd be happy for FB to stay on and appoint a manager and then let him get on without any unwelcome interference (although that's not likely either).

          Not many wouldn't. Me included.
But like you say....... not likely is it?

And most people are not asking for millions to be splashed on players like maniacs.
          Not the sane ones, anyway.

It winds me up that it was Amit Bhatia who said we would be in the Champions League within 4 years of the new regime taking over. His father- in- law blew £30m on his daughters wedding.Wish he chuck some of it Rangers way.

sounds like you feel left out.

as for learning lessons...yep lets turn away everyone who shows an interest in becoming new owners as they are all the same according to you......but on the other hand one day you might just turn away the right one.....

They don't OWN the club so why would they throw that kind of money at it for Flavio to take the acclaim!

Purely on the basis that FB is failing miserably it is worth the chance of the Mittals taking over. They'll either spend no money but do a better job in terms of appointing a manager and letting him run the footballing side, whilst ensuring the club is run sound financially. Or, they'll spend to get up knowing they alone would reap the premiership rewards. For me it's a no brainer!

                        i don't. honestly.

i never said turn away anyone. it just surprises me that so many are ready gto hail the mittals as the second coming so quickly. they don't seem to have said much about ticket prices, GP, squad building. so why the online ####-fest?

if u was minted would you give flavio a bean of your money? i know i wouldnt, cos hed probly spend it on some new slippers, or if on players then we become a success he takes the plaudits, and a HUGE percentage of future windfalls. I would want him totally out of the way and run things my way. Maybe, just maybe, this is what bhatia and the mittals hope 2 do.

Mittals are not going to save us. It just will not happen. The man with the money isn't even interested.

Those fans that hound out our owners, and join in mass protests that only help to stop the players performing, thinking the Mittals will be our knights in shining armour may come to regret it one day.

Usmanov dosn't own Arsenal, but he offered the money.

The Wintons paid for ****tu & Doudou.

FB wouldn't get all the acclaim because it would be well documented that the Mittals funded any new signings. Perhaps they did offer and FB said no, because he didn't want the Mittals to be popular.
