Who Was the Best Player To move To The Championship?
Most clubs have 20,000 plus crowds, lets not forget that too.
You are a millionaire for a reason, you don't waste it..
Big gamble now mid-table to be spending millions, don't you think?
Not if you are ambitious and have a 4 year plan for the champions league. All talk to attract sponsors if you ask me. How they must be feeling short changed!!
In all honesty we should have Ferguson as a manager and we would now have Welbeck. If we had a normal chairman, QPR job would be the most attractive for these up and coming ambitious managers, unfortunately we have an ego-maniac who thinks he know more about football than any manager. In that climate who would come here other than money grabbing has-beens looking for one last pay day.
Why does everyone assume that QBP is acting as a mouthpiece on this thread. The abuse he gets when responding to threads regarding players that we should be signing from the Prem is as good a reason to raise this point as any - and to defend his own coments/stance rather than spin for the Board!
Clearly there were very few first team Prem players that made a more - Welbeck to Preston was probably the bigest name but he's not a first team regular. McDonald coming to Boro from the SPL was probably the highest earner/profile though.
As for the best business - I didn't see Routeledge in that category until Newcastle signed Best - but I would now say that was the best deal as I reckon Best will thrive on delivery from a decent winger...........though to be fair, if Cookie shows more of what he did on Saturday, he will supply better quality than WR on a regular basis.
