  • Are we stronger now?

So lately we've lost Routledge, while Watson has gone back and we've loaned out several of our own fringe players. We've brought in (on loan) Bent, Priskin, Hill and the dodgy keeper, plus Quashie till the end of the season and poss also 60,000 Voltz.

Does that make us stronger? To my mind we prob won't look as attractive or hit the high notes but as everyone surely admits promotion is off the cards now the job is all about shoring things up till the end of the season when (we pray) there will be a re-structuring of the club on a sane footing.

That being the aim I have to say this team prob isn't going to be very pretty but I'm more confident than I was that this will be a rugged, no nonsense Mick Hartford team that is less tolerant of show-ponies. If it plays to its abilities without more off-field craziness (big if) it should be easily good enough to keep us up. Whatever we think of the board its time to get behind the new players and make them welcome.

Yes, can't wait to use up the 2nd half of my ST watching Rugged, no-nonsense Mick Harford Types clatter the ball everywhere. Still, as we say every January, there's always next season.

Mate, I'm not exactly wetting myself in excitement either. But after Forest we were in free fall. This season is now about survival. If we had been properly managed even within existing budgets we cd have had routledge, a motivated watson and hooper all in our strip and we wd prob be pushing for the play offs. But this is QPR after all.
