But hey, this is QPR, where else would such a ludicrous scenario occur, Chelshyte? Foolham?

good friend of mine at work is good friends with marcus and has openly said to me in the past that marcus loves a move as loved the 10percent sign on fee he got. a decent footballer but looked after the money side quite well. however he called me today and is a chelsc*m fan but has said marcus is really looking forward to being close to where he grew up and wants to really do well.
know its true as mate hates rangers and has no interest in us doing well. and marcus grew up more around tolworth, just for the record

Thats because the educated (thats for Conners) already know what to expect and unfortunately it aint much. As for Priskin, I don't know much about him to form an educated opinion.Last edited by theblackmafia.; 02-02-2010, 12:26 AM.

It's ok suggesting Beckford, but QPR's Board were not going to spend any big money on transfers in this window, so how would QPR finance a £2M deal for him? They sold Routledge to recoup some of their losses, not to spend all of it and more, on another player.
As for Bent. No, he isn't prolific or even a frequent goalscorer, but from what I recall he is a hradworking target man. A bit like Agyemang, but only better at heading the ball, running, holding onto the ball and probably cheaper in wages too.

Sheff Utd 56 (17sub apps) 24 goals
Blackburn 27 (11sub apps) 11 goals
Ipswich 57 (13sub apps) 23 goals
I'm willing to see what he can do for us before I decide. If he is really up for it as other posts have suggested then he may give us what we need.A Brit, abroad

I think we have to be realistic here.In general, the transfer window this time was down and most of the transactions appeared to be surplus players going out on loan.In fact one of the highest amounts of loans so far.
Am i happy with marcus Bent coming in? or Priskin? Not really, but we have to face facts, like most other clubs were are losing money. We have just shipped out players, most people/qpr fans wanted to see go.They were the highest payers and it would seem "troublemakers" if you can use that word.
It has been touted that Kitson offer was on table, but couldn't be bothered to turn up even.
Why in the hell then would beckford come to us - a team possibly on verge of relegation battle, when he could go to a lower premiership club with ease.
So we offload Agyemang and heider - both players given soo much stick by rangers fans.
I assume we are looking to preserve our CCC status now this season. We have to prove to other lcubs/players that we are once again a team worth playing for.
The finance side at moment is a bit irrelevant now - as a team we need to get the winning ways back on the pitch, get some unity on and off the pitch to maybe encourage a better quality player to come and sign for us during summer.Which means not signging long stupid deals for aging crap players with massive ego's
So will Bent and priskin make a difference? Possibly, who knows. We are allsuch experts but players like fans can be very fickle.a new fresh start seemed to help dexter at Forest - when all QPR fans(well not all) hadwritten him off.
Furlong was given same treatment by QPR fans.Whereas im not happy with the standard of players we have just brought in - i fear we have no option but to give these guys some much needed support - before we write them off and throw them to the dogs.

How refreshing to read his comments. May be spin but f**k it I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt I’ve had enough of all this down beat stuff.
I really hope it works out well for the lad

You don't have to be mystic bleedin'Meg to know how beneficial his presence wouldn't be to us right now.
What we need is a proven goalscorer currently still able to score goals.
