  • The Caller on "Petes Latest"....

The guy who was second on the phone (Ian?).

I just wish someone at the club would listen to that call... really listen to it, and digest it.
This isn't a bloke who WANTS to feel that way, he's not going to protest or abuse anyone on saturday, he's been a supporter of our club for 40+ years. He bleeds QPR.
They have to listen to how blokes like him feel.

That call really touched a nerve with me, you could hear it in his voice.
The club can't just throw people like him a bone, they have to treat him right, and with respect.
    And they're not.

Someone on here should get that heard at QPR FC.
We may have been a worse team at many points in the past, but we have NEVER been at a lower level as a club if a supporter like him can feel that way.

Not Flavio, not Amit, not GP, not Martin Rowlands or Mick Harford...... HE is QPR.

      Yep.
Like I said, is there a way that somebody at the club could get the chance to listen to that call??

I know that there is no "Hotline to FB", and he probably wouldn't give a toss anyway... but somebody in a position of power to influence things could surely be able to hear that?? Somehow.

That was not the ranting of a keyboard warrior, or anyone out to have a good old moan for the sake of it. That recording would carry more weight than ANYTHING people can shout, wear, sing etc.. tomorrow.
I've read hundreds of postings on message boards, and articles in papers and on various websites that have put their feelings across very well - but nothing like that.
Because it was natural and had a tone of voice that made the whole conversation genuine. Just a proper old school supporter, telling it how it is.
42 years, and he feels like that??... after all the other bad times we've been through, with far worse teams over the years?

Even your face when listening to him was that of a bloke who was thinking, "Jesus Christ, this is really sad".

Pete - not looking for an arguement....but are you serious? The fans are the last people they would listen to.

but so many of us feel that way

i am jacking in away games bar mboro ( new ground) and dread every game, no buzz

i expect rows and possible punches between fellow qpr fans, i have seen it time and time again...the club have treated us poorly, taken us for granted, they may be rich owners but the majority of us are not rich!
they are selling corporate to newcastle now and are proud of it.
we have been rode roughshod over...

we wanted stability, the abc loan sorted and most would've settled for a few yrs mid table, we never spoke of 4 yrs and a project.
we have had numerous managers come and go, prices rocket up ( always comes to prices) seen some poor players sign on long contracts and high wages...
who wanted c-club? i can understand tarting up the directors bit but how much did that cost and could it not have waited??

the air of arrogance exudes from the club and thru the team....money don't make you a man.

Everyone is so subservient to FB - you won't get any sense from the likes of Russell. The ones that do actually care (Jenny Elliott, Paul Morrissey, Ian Taylor, Katie Ashby, Francis Atkinson etc etc....) don't get enough airtime with those who make the decisions to have enough influence.

            IMO

I'd love to be the bloke in the control box tomorrow.

I'd stick that on the big screen, walk out, lock the door, and let the whole ground see and hear it... while I wondered what my next job would be.

A bit like that scene in The Shawshank Redemption, when Andy played the classical music over the tannoys to the prison yard.

Or the scene in the Family Guy spoof where Peter plays "Hollaback Girl" over the prison yard.

"I don't what that girl was singing about or what the hell a Hollaback Girl is. Maybe to disguise a 44 year old dressed up as a cheerleader. Who knows?"

It's a shame - we all used to be QPR - now we are 'The Fans' and 'The Club'
