He didn't want to be at QPR anymore (can't really blame him after all the false hope and promises etc).

I agree with Pete, and have poften questioned his performces since the Derby game.

How many good games has he had since? He drifts in and out of games and hasn't scored since mid Sept.

Hopefully the club will use the money to sign a right back (preferably one who can tacke well and supply good crosses) and a forward, although I wont hold my breath whilst waiting.
If the money is re-invested in the right players-then hell why not !

waiting to see how the pro Flav etc merchants defend this decision to the rest of us - they'll not get me back down there this season - what a farce and the fact that the people who administer this MB defend thim is pure cack !

That really shows we are not ambitious. Who is next, Buszaky? We are heading to League 1. The owners clearly want to raise money and exit the club. I will be interested to see a statment from FB himself about club plans now.

If you were the manager of an opposing team playing Rangers, when you sit down to discuss our dangerous players do you not think that Routledge would be discussed? In my opinion he is probably our most dangerous player. I agree that he doesn't always deliver, but he can win a game on his own and I really don't think we have anyone else you can say that about. Maybe Buzz in his heyday but that was about 18 months ago.

                    I'm with W12 Chris.

                    Routledge has pace FULL STOP.

Delivery is poor and has missed loads of chances when we could kill games off this season.

If u can beat ur man as easy as he can for pace he should be able to cross a ball or finish.

The reason WBA and newcastle are top is because of the parachute payments they have been able to maintain their squads and have money to spend.

He has consistently failed in the Prem so in a year he will be at another club.

                    We make £1.7 million supposedly.

I will say would like to see it re-invested in players but we know thats not to be so lets just move on.

Anyway expect diamond to be in place so don't need an out and out winger.

****in joke, i hav said that since these rumours were first brought up. How can we improve n get promoted if we sell our top young players. We wont reinvest and if we do it will be on complete ****. I have lost complete faith in the board after this

Good for Wayne.. good luck to him
                            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                            And many more mistakes

According to Cardiff, Rangers had dealt him a 20K per week contract and that we were paying Premier League wages. Given we missed out on playoffs last year and almost certainly this year, we cant sustain such high wages.

We now save 1 million pounds per year for the life of his contract, as well as any profit on trading the contract itself. That is surely good business.

The rest of the squad should be able to cover him.
