So.......we've loaned Helgusson to Watford, Agyemnang to Bristol and now sold Routledge to Middlesborough.

All teams within touching distance of us in the league.

And now the line is being spun that the 2 billionaires and the millionaire want to stem the costs that they themselves have incurred whilst maintaining the "4 year plan", the highest admission prices in the league whilst we watch Stewart and Borrowdale lumber around the field.

I'm astonished that anyone with a sane mind can remotely consider this as "a good deal".

Still - I'm sure the chow in C-Club is worth the 40 pieces of silver for all concerned.

How does anyone on here know if he cost 300K or 600K?
It may be a "good bit of business" because we have made a profit - but if we sold all our players that would be an even better bit of business.
Not much of a team would be left though

He is not happy at the club but who can blame him. How many managers have we had. Different ideas and styles of play to adapt to, different formations to play in as well as playing him in how many different positions! We are a farce and a pathetic football club at the moment. Any player with brain, ambition and drive wouldn't want to be associated with the club. If we as a club had any ambition there wouldn't have been any discussion around this topic. WR IS NOT FOR SALE to any Championship club end of!

You can't say facts like that, otherwise you are 'negative.' Many on here seem happy to spend their season watching Ramage, Borrowdale and Stewart having spent 600 quid on a season ticket.

i posted this on another thread mate

"Give a decent manager £10/£20 million to spend and say..right...youve got 2 years....like Forest.

Or decide to spend £2/3million picking up "gems", fire a manager so, have to spend another £2/3million picking up the "gems" he wants (and pay pay off last boss), fire another manager so, have to spend another £2/3million picking up "gems" he wants(and pay pay off last boss)

            etc etc

And basically you end up spending a small fortune to be sitting half way up the table...thats what our board have done"

IMHO it IS a good bit of business if you isolate the deal. However, in the bigger picture it certainly is NOT

Why not talk about the fact that WR has deserted more Clubs in a very short space of time and the fact he is not happy could be translated to WR wants a pay rise or another signing on fee. Let's face it we are not the first ship he has jumped and he is a mercenary - but hey, those are all facts and not half as much fun to debate as the "I know", "she says", "mine's bigger than yours" playground antics that every thread appears to become right now. :anger:

                  Yeah, good point.

Personally, I've only met him twice..once he was well alright and I thank him for giving me his signed boots for charity. The other time he was a complete plum and I could have easily have knocked him out.

                  Who knows?

You could translate it as that.

But it's not true. He hasn't asked for a move, for any more money or any new contract/loyalty payment.

Agree with that. He hasn't lasted 5 minutes anywhere. Very talented but so was Leon Knight and look at him (remember you have to look down to spot him!). Could just be he has a bad attitude. Really hope that is not the case and he stays as extremely talented but we need to get the right vibe in the team and if attitude stinks makes sense to sell on for a profit. For the greater good and all that.

I agree. I meant that it seems HA9 is now 'in the know' and I was wondering where he was getting his info from.

Who has Paladini got lined up to replace him?

                                Is it someone better?
