Oh come on...when was the last time we actually bought, or even loaned a player was was actually part of a clubs 1st team? Buzz from Plymouth was about the last one and that was only because he was going cheap. 1st teamers cost money I'm afraid.

Murphy's contract was to end at the end of the 2008/2009 season and there was much speculation as to where his future lay; many reports suggested that he would be moving to a much bigger club to gain international football for Ireland. This speculation was ended when he signed a one year contract extension with the Iron and this will extend to 2011 if the Iron can remain in the Coca-Cola Championship.

So if they go down he'll be out of contract in the summer.
