I'd Sell Routledge and Buzsacky..If Price Was Right
If it was the case of impateince, then why were fans against helguson?/ You could also add fans who are also writing Cook off.
i'd off load Ageymang, Vine, Hall and Ramage before Routledge, thats about it
Sorry Pete but you are impatient. You wanted Dowie sacked, you wanted Sousa sacked. You are now saying we should sell two of our best players because they've under performed.
Routledge is more vital to our team then:
1) Pellicori
2) Agyemang
3) Alberti
4) Ephraim
5) Ainsworth
6) Vine
7) Hall
8) Rose
9) Oastler
10) German
11) Balanta
12) Stewart
13) McWeeney
14) Brown
15) Borrowdale
16) Helguson
17) Cook
18) Quashie
19) Putnins
20) Leigertwood
You know I repect your opinion Pete, so I hope this doesn't come across as a sly dig or finger pointing.
But I am absolutely fascinated that you see selling Wayne Routledge for £1 million plus as good business.
The majority of fans point the finger at GP for making dud signings, and whilst I do believe there to be a certain element of truth in that... I think that maybe he doesn't get enough credit for the GOOD he has done. I would say he played a huge part in the signings of Connolly, Buzsaky, Gorkss, Leigertwood, Taarabt etc and thats something that personally I am grateful for.
Whilst I would like to see his position changed/reviewed, I don't look at this scenario and blame him... Yes we may struggle to offload some of the deadwood, they should never have been put on the contracts that they were... But is that an excuse to clearly weaken the strength of our squad and hinder our chances of any form of success this season?
No matter how anybody words this... We are a weaker side without Routledge in the team (no question!).
As for him not playing well since Exeter? Again I'm sorry but I strongly disagree with that. He is one of the few players we all agree is worthy of a place in the side.
Can you explain??
BUT - Routledge does fall into that category of TOP signings. Like the others above, he show's that we ARE a club heading places.
Yes, I would blame the person who agreed contracts for Ageymang and Hall and that has to be GP and Flavio, makes it harder to loan them out or sell them.
Don't think he can be blamed for Vine, who before his injury was a good purchase
but only 12 months ago when i asked the question you said "they are on lengthy contracts because if we sold them on they wouldn't go for nothing" have you changed your tune now!!!
Routledge & Buz are 2 quality players which we should be adding to, i'd say they've lost their desire as i bet both players were given the old "Spin" like who we are buying & how we are going to "move forward" and like us the fans they have been told a lie & have had enough, just like thousands of Rangers supporters up & down the country, but hey ho there you go
Pete why do you think it is that you are so often the only person with a particular point of view when everyone around you thinks the complete opposite?
I personally think it's all down to the players attitude. Routledge and Buzz are both great players and if they want to do well for us there is no way I'd sell them for anything but silly money!
To be honest though when I look at these 2 players right now I don't see guys that want to be playing for the club and I'm not actually sure I can blame them for that!
If they want out we should get the best deal we can for them and bring in some players that going to be hungry for the fight!
