A better match day experience was promised. I should have realised when the microphone did not work when they came out in a midst of fire and flares that it was going to be a bad dream.

I was saying the same thing and welcome back.

If he can tackle and keep possession he gets the nod over L'wood

Will he improve the side any, I doubt it very much. His best days are long gone another 30+ year old has been good luck to him though
Gerry Francis the greatest all round player to come from these shores:super_man:

HA9 you don't like it when Paladinoo, Terry Ball and the others make fun of you so maybe you should stop making fun of Neil?

Improve a side that has gone rapidly downhill without the qualities that a proper holding/defensive midfielder like Gavin Mahon brings? You bet he does.
Oh and when he doesn't score a hat trick, roast a couple of defenders, nutmug another and score the goal of the season on his debut, for god's sake please don't say he's rubbish. Because the job he HAS to do is replace the missing cog (Mahon) to allow the flair players to do what they are best at (like they did when Mahon was fit) whilst he sits and glues the defence and midfield together so the attacking stuff doesn't automatically mean we concede a hat full of goals every time we lose the ball.

That is precisely what happened when Mahon got injured and what has continued to happen without this type of player on the pitch.

He's not my favourite player and I'm not gonna dance in the street about it - but well done to Mick and the Board for addressing an area which has become a huge problem - and which may mean we can get back to playing decent football and not conceding silly goals.
