  • What About This Idea..To Get Some Positivity Back

    Game at Loftus Road

QPR Legends team V either a celebrity or a Chelsea legends team and all the money raised goes to the Haiti disaster.

What do you guys think of that idea and would you go??

On a side note... I think they should get every player in the league to give a days wage to Haiti disaster. I remember they did a similar thing with donations to nurses a few years back.

Shouldn't have to resort to celebs to get some positivity back.
We've already got one joke team made up of platers on "pop star" wages.

Hint to club - you want me to be positive?

          Don't sell WR
Buy the players we need (New striker, full backs etc)
Get rid of the persistent under-performers (Hall, Stewart, Ramage etc)
Leave the manager alone to do his job and support him.

That will get the supporters back on side. Not some poxy charity game.

good idea on the wages but remember only a few players signed up to donate to the nurses.
would think a couple of days from all players would up to substantial amount tho.

could we play against the crap and bizaar signings team? Consisting of Bankole, S Moore, Hall, Malcome, Armel Tchakounte, Egutu Oliseh, Pellicori, etc etc? Maybe then we can see that we have actually come forward! Maybe not as quick as we would like, but we are on the way forward, keep the faith

                Nope.

All for a bucket collection outside a forthcoming home game but, IMO, that would be a non starter.

The cost to stage it would definitely outweigh any monies coming in. Whilst the players may give up their time for free, the security staff, stewarding, caterers and the police certainly wouldn't. A crowd of 5,000 max paying what, a tenner, wouldn't even touch the sides of those costs.

Good idea Pete like all of that idea.

May I also put forward a modest proposal of my own to get the positivity back: get the club running professionally.

Decent cause but dont see how it would lead to a more positive outlook by fans.

Suppose it would go some way to creating some positive PR for Flav etc but positive PR wont help me or the majority of other desperate QPR fans who just want the club run correctly.

Running the club correctly = Positive Fans not a charity match!!!! simples

With respect, the pain and suffering of those poor souls in Haiti should not be used as a lever to generate positivity at Loftus Road.

If you want to help, make a donation via the Disasters Emergency Committee.

If you want positivity, think a little more straight forward.

Not a dig at you Pete, just my personal opinion.
QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."

I like that however I don't think all players would agree.
