Because some numpties watching QPR were fed up seeing him unable to play as an attacking left back in the style of Cole, Evra, Glichy etc.

I kept on saying he wasn't as bad as they said.

He is a better left back than Borrowdale, and could head and tackle quite well. It was mainly his distribution that was poor, and he wasn't fast enough to run up and down the left flank.

And of course we can tell he is rubbish, even if he has only/possibly played 90 mins in a reserve match. First time I watched Les Ferdinand he was carp, then look what happened !

Which is why Roy Keane has switched him to centre back... and he's doing very well now.

As an out and out defender... he's better than most we still have at the club.
