1) Works For A Boss Like Flavio
2) Within days of taking over the club, was threatened.. (no dispute on that, even though the strength of it is)
3) Had to have a bullet proof vest on police advice
4) Always paid staff and players, even though we were probably worse of than Portsmouth are right now.
5) Had a massive loan to pay off annually
6) Plenty of people against him because he was either Italian or not seen as a QPR fan, because he had interest in Port Vale.
7) Had to wheel and deal just to keep us afloat
8) Despite messageboard lies and smears still managed to maintain a football club
9) Kept the season ticket prices as low as possible
10) The only person who will get players to events organised by the LSA and other associations
11) Brought in investors on every level to progress this club
12) Any young child wanting to look around the ground or meet players, people who want signed stuff for charity, he would be at the forefront of it
13) Working from about 7am in the morning to 10pm everday for QPR, meaning he spends no time with his wife and family
14) Good at saving money for the club, in finding clauses in contracts as in the cases of Buzsacky, Gorkss and others
15) Despite having every thing scrutinised, never been accused by the football league, the current board for any wrong doings in the transfer markets, which is a good thing because he has to contend with innuendo and rumours about 30k for players, under audit, when it really is really just a smear campaign
A defence?? A true indication??
The usual suspects won't budge, so really not worth all this debate to be hinest, we have a football club to support.
Numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 11 were before the takeover.
The question was since the takeover. In his current role.
Be clear....I'm not anti the bloke himself.. quite a few are.
I'm "anti" the role he holds. DoF.
No matter who did/does that role.
Number One on your list is a pretty good answer though, I have to say!
Some good points Pete - so whats your problem with someone wanting to debate this in a serious fashion , without yourself H9 or others jumping in with your childish playground chat.
As far as i see you have several options.
a) Just ignore these posts.
b) Ban people from wanting to discuss GP
c) Close down your messageboard.
I assume that you started this messageboard with the idea that fans of QPR can discuss events on and off the pitch at QPR football club.
You and certain others feel the GP is a good and honourable decent chap that only has QPR interests at heart.Fine - free world etc...Others disagree - let them debate it - otherwise - whats the point of this messageboard as items like this are going to be discussed. The more you take the p.ss out of people and continually put them dowm for having their own thoughts the more people will come back at you - unless thats the whole point and im missing that entirely.
I'm sure if you put your points over without any form of patronisation - fans will either have good debate back at you or just stop,
Trouble is with you pete - is after putting all your points over - rather than stop -you have to have a snipe back....and you will get sniped back.

Very good post.
The problem is Pete, that if someone disagrees with you then you always assume that they are in some way attacking your right to have an opinion. But, every post that does disagree with you is also the posters opinion. Everyone has an opinion mate, the problem is that in many cases they might not agree with yours, but that isn't always a personal attack......
A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....

I am so bored of this debate but this is irresistable.
"Apart from saving the club"!!!? I am guessing that that little feat is to be considered sooooo yesterday it doesn't count??
As for what what he does on a day to day basis I couldn't tell you but to be honest - and here's a novelty - I couldn't care less. Though it seems some on this boatrd care very much. And about little else. A lack of perfection (and not only in relation to Paladini but pretty much everything else) seems to be a fatal flaw for some Rangers fans on here. We were always so lucky with managers and owners before weren't we? ...Quite.
As a point of detail for the list, maintaining kids under 8 getting in for free, and concessions on under 16s, OAPs etc seems pretty OK by me. Fair play and well done I say.
Not for the first time recently this is getting so Month Python-esque you couldn';t make it up if you tried!!. Now we have the equivalent of "what have the romans done for us (.... apart from the roads..... and the water....etc) " sketch. Quality. Of course I expect when the list of Paladinis doings here is finished it will get about as much impartical assessment as the roman contribution in the film did...............
Apols to any who haven;t seen the Life of Brian as the above will make no sense whatsoever. But you will now have a feeling like I have when I open all these Paladini threads.
Perhaps I will be proved wrong and at the end of this some will change their minds. Or perhaps not.
P>S - the thread doesn't ask what the relative merits of a DoF are or are not. It asked and has receioved responses about the man in the post. The general DoF thing would be one debate. Possibly a more productive one. Certainly a less jaundiced one. But that isn';t what is going on here and we all know it.

I can read quite perfectly - maybe you should read my post again - Why did you need to put this point over ???
Pointless debating anything with you regardless of how well you put your point over
Problem is you and Spencer are not reading the two replies of MINE on here
I have just simply gave an answer thats all to the question, no name calling from me
Problem is Pete that everyone is reading your replies and that no one is name calling. Everyone has an opinion, if you don't like the fact that some do not agree with yours then might I suggest that running a message board is a major mistake....

Have to say, I agree with that.
The important debate (The merits of a Director of Football) gets sidetracked by the personal stuff.
On both sides, I might add.
Good post pete .These are all the reasons I support GP. most of us would have left the club and couldnt of handled the situation but he did . Everything that goes wrong is always his fault. But the truth you always want a scap goat.

Fair one pete. some good points there, which have been overlooked by myself.
however some are pre takeover:
2) Within days of taking over the club, was threatened.. (no dispute on that, even though the strength of it is)
3) Had to have a bullet proof vest on police advice
4) Always paid staff and players, even though we were probably worse of than Portsmouth are right now.
5) Had a massive loan to pay off annually
9) Kept the season ticket prices as low as possible
11) Brought in investors on every level to progress this club
these points are something which are forgotten:
9) Kept the season ticket prices as low as possible
10) The only person who will get players to events organised by the LSA and other associations
12) Any young child wanting to look around the ground or meet players, people who want signed stuff for charity, he would be at the forefront of it
13) Working from about 7am in the morning to 10pm everday for QPR, meaning he spends no time with his wife and family
and these are what the values of QPR were about before we became a brand.
HA9 do you care to contribute anything positivie to this adult open minded debate ?
