"The kids missed everything from Queens Park Rangers to Conkers".
London Pride has been handed down to us.
London Pride is a flower that's free.
London Pride means our own dear town to us,
And our pride it for ever will be.
What, being a gooner, becoming an R or owning up to it????
my dad ( who's foolem for his sins) took me to see arsenal lose2-0 at lr in 73.....i was eight and had the arsenal silk scarf around my wrist....arsenal took the loft( as every london side did) but i was hooked on the buccaneering play of the blue n white shirted wizards!!!
As a few people have said, I think it's ok to have supported a different team as a child. I'm a child of the 80's so virtually everyone at my school were Liverpool fans (despite the fact the school was in Surrey). Most of those people got a few years older and realised it just isn't practical supporting a side in the North West when you live in the South East and picked themselves a more local side.
On the other hand I do know of a few people who grew up supporting QPR then when we got into trouble started going to Chelsea. I actually spotted one of these people at a match a couple of seasons back and made a point of making sure that as many people as possible in R Block heard me say "what are you doing here, you're a Chelsea fan?". Those type of people should be shot!
