If things were that bad,how come Harford is still with us & the players looked happier when we scored a goal on sat rather than the first one at Watford?

Seems Magilton was the one causing the disruption not Gianni. Blanta & Leigertwood have signed new deals if the club was rotting at the core they would have ******ed off & we would not have Connolly kissing the badge.

place will erupt when gianni leaves,because flavio keeps trying to pick the team,so i only hope when gianni leaves flavio sells his shairs to BERNIE who is the only real buisness man amongst the three of them only BERNIE has the tempermant to let curbs or gerry re build our club

With Flavio, you can forget Curbishley and Coppell and more influence from him, so can this club progress with Flavio at the helm??

This is not a pro-post, as I have already said I'd move on in 18 months if i was GP

If GP goes then Flavio will stop taking advice from the man. This can only be good for our club and we'll be able to progress. GP is holding us back.

I think GP has been giving FB bad information, so if he did go, FB would have a chance to rebuild his shattered reputation.

Briatore co-owns QPR with Bernie Ecclestone, and Lakshmi Mittal, and it is the Italian who takes the major decisions, assisted by Gianni Paladini, the club chairman and director of football, according to one former coach.

The coach, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: "Paladini has a big say in the day-to-day running as Briatore is always in and out of the country. The owners there do love football but possibly they can get too involved, and don't leave it to the manager and the staff. But what's happening there now with all the managers is making QPR laughable."

So if it is the Flav show, what exactly does Gianni do?

Did Flav say "get me Dowie/Magilton/Hart, I've done all the research, spoken to all my contacts and they're the men for me"?

And does someone like Flav, who is out of the country much of the time, negotiate things like player contracts? That would be like Stuart Rose from M&S negotiating personally with the store manager in Tolworth, for example?

I know this is getting rather tedious, for all concerned, but the story seems to change so often. If things are OK and certain players are doing well, or someone is signed up, then its "well done Gianni". When things are going wrong, Paladini has no say in what happens and its 100% the Flav show.

The problem with Gianni is that he's just not competent in the role and lacks confidence in his, or FB's initial decisions and makes panic decisions without thinking through the consequences.

We've had a succession of very poor players who've signed up on long term deals on mega bucks. In truth, you can count the good deals out of the 92 he has been involved with on one hand (and thats one hand if you're a resident of Springfield). Loan after loan after loan after loan costing the club HUGE sums of money for zero return. For loan deals you still pay the club and the agents for the deal going through but there's no sell on value or book value for us. Lest not forget that in the summer just gone, Pete stated on here that we wouldn't be going down the loan route....Why the change? I'd assume that information came from GP directly but the revolving door is still revolving.

IMO - he should have walked for the Padula **** up - possibly Ukah too - any other Chief Exec/DoF would have been pushed but again, IMO, there are vested interests.

For all the noise of Briatore being in charge of everything - sure he's in charge - in the same way the Queen is in charge of all UK legislation - i.e. the name on the cheque/statute. FB knows a minimum number of people in UK football. I'd wager these comprise of Paladini and Al Fayed and one or two others (not forgetting those in Madrid, Turin and Milan). Let's face it, Paladini is getting these players in (Borrowdale being a corking example of a player the manager didn't want and being victimised when not played) - Briatore asks if they're any good - Paladini says yes - deal done. The advice being given is poor. Again, managers chosen targets are being excluded on the advice of Paladini - Dowie suffered here particularly IIRC. Why anyone would think this is a good thing is beyond me.

I think GP has now taken the club as far as he can with his abilities and contacts. He's done well by QPR (some argue vice versa too) and now might well be a good time for him to draw a respectable line under the work he has done at the club and now nip back to Solihull and enjoy his retirement with his family and grandchildren.
