This might be old news and to be taken with a pinch of salt in any case, but in the sports headlines at around 6.30 this evening on BBC radio during the Eddie Nestor show, they reported that Curbishley is in line to take over as QPR manager.Sorry if I've duplicated any earlier posts. Can't imagine him taking the job under the circumstances, bearing in mind Briatore's soiled reputation.

You act like you know everything but anyone with common sense knows you are from barcelona!I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Would love this. But want us to do it now rather than wait till the end of the season if we are going to.
C'mon Rangers, show us that you DO have some ambition!

i have my reservations about us & curbishley to be honest. the squad we currently have is very different to what he's previously been successful with, and i'm not sure his brand of man management is going to resonate with the players. naturally some will say that the players have ruled the roost too long anyway and the likes of buzsaky and taarabt already need shipping out - perhaps this is true, but it would only be slightly less painful a transition than it would have been under paul hart imho.
also i'm not really sure what goddard is crowing about with the last part of his sig: "After looking certain for relegation, Curbishley led West Ham to seven wins out of their last nine games, and a last-day 1-0 win at Manchester United, kept West Ham in the Premier League." the fact is that the only reason west ham were even in that position was because curbishley overspent massively on crocks and dross like dyer, ljungberg and faubert, and was incapable of getting the quality he did have to perform for him outside of that tevez-inspired finale. (not to menton sheffield utd bottling it too.) the improvement in play with the exact same players under zola the following season (carlton cole for instance) tells its own story.
