Did he get first refusal on land he wanted, i would put my house on it as BBC were talking about closing offices and selling land and since the F1 agreement, they stopped.

Yesterday I heard some very interesting news concerning the BBC offices, BBC Park, Hammersmith & Fulham Council and some blocks of flats on White City. Batman Close residents have held a series of meeting with the council about being relocated because the club is interested in purchasing the land off the council. Relocation sums have been offered to all residents as a means to get them to move out and the coucil will also help relocate then. BBC Park is to be relocated or moved within the surrounding area as part of this massive project. H&F have mentioned the club as the spearhead of all these development proposal.
Am I a few weeks late with this news? Can anyone else possibly explain in more detail?
Surely if true it can only mean a new stadium and if so only the Mittals or Benie could afford to do this. I am sure I've heard somewhere that Bernie holds some of the land rights to the BBC's ground which he leases back to them?
I think i know what this story relates to, PM for more details if you want.

What Dazzer has posted ........ I heard something along those lines at the start of LAST SEASON some 15 months ago, that included the TA, Hammersmith Park on SAR and the BBC offices that back onto Hammmersmith Park! Bernie was mentioned re owning BBC land, but I didn't hear anything about Batman Close.
This is the first I've heard of this type of proposal, if thats the right word, since then.
I know we all care about the fortunes of Queens Park Rangers FC, we all crave QPR information each and every day, which is why the MB's thrive, it's all part of todays football - Don't matter if you've followed the R's for 50 years or 1 year ..... when the cards are down we, as supporters of QPR, all bleed HOOPS!
Right now HMS Loftus is sinking fast, the press I guess, love the QPR manager merry-go-round ...... I don't know one Rangers fan who gets pleasure from seeing the farce of manager after manager, come in/out the revolving door at HQ ..... all I hear from QPR fans, myself included, is we're a joke!
Talk of a new ground ....... at this time ........ phew!!!! I'm lost for words, as I've added to this thread.
The manager situation has to be sorted first and foremost, stability within the playing staff and also internal staff, so everyone at Loftus Road is pulling in the right direction, and that includes us as Rangers fans ..... A manager who is given full control of comings and goings in the transfer market. Until QPR have an established man on a non Micky Mouse contract, who's allowed to manage our club the way he wants to ......... the rest is just a dream, or should I say ... a nightmare!
Flavio, Bernie, Gianni and The Mittals ..... please sit down all together, no more knee jerk reactions ...... spend YOUR MONEY and get QPR a top manager to make our wonderful football club move in the right direction! Of late, all we see is a smoking revolver! .... I'm going off to work now, and the word I'm useing for my own feeling about QPR is .... depressed!!R.I.P Steve Edwards, Neil Roberts & Trevor Kingham

Dazzer, thanks for that, the sort of news I've been waiting for for a long time, I hope your right.
One of the ways QPR will move forward as a club is with better facilities.
Loftus Rd, I'm very sad to say has had it day.
I for one certainly don't know what is happening behind the scenes at the club at this moment or any other, but on paper we all know the money is potentially there, let's hope that it is matched by the will to drive us forward.
Something that has just sprung to mind, weren't those flats in Batman Close being refurbished of late?, not that would mean anything if the council wants to sell the land to QPR.
Please keep us updated if you can on this one, as it is better than reading all about Paladini and who said what and when.I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.
