You have to start from somewhere I suppose.

I bet the Britania Stadium didn't look so good when Stoke where in the 3rd division playing in front of 5,000 fans for the Legaue Cuo matches.

Although, I don't want to start believing in any of these rumours, so I wont go any further with this until some news on this is confirmed.

Quite right. how many of us are fed up being squashed in our seat, scraping our knees on the seat in front, whilst trying to watch the football with roof support blocking our view?

How many of us are frustrated with a 10 minute walk through the congested walkways to get to the toilet, buy food etc.

Improved facilities will help improve the 'matchday experience' and attract new fans. Of course, a good team & manager will make a very big difference too.

I live in the borough and what is happening is that many of the big estates like parts of the White City, Queen Caroline, West Ken, Gibbs Green and Clem Atlee. The latter are being turned into a huge car park for the Conference Centre being rebuilt at Earls Court and Olympia. This will mean a lot of social housing being moved out of the area, but there won't be much accomodation for them to be brought back into the area. Some of the spare lands needs to be sold off and maybe QPR are in the market for the White City land. We are in a Tory borough and they want to reduce social housing. It's all over our local papers.

My mate works at the BBC offices on the old white city stadium site and they told me last summer that they were being relocated in the next 2-3 years due to the rent being to much for the BBC to justify anymore.
It makes sense really.. why would 3 of the richest men on the planet buy a club with a stadium thats holds 20k people?? THE LAND prime real estate in W12, mega money to be made there.. i heard a rumor a few years back that we were going to move out around the Heston area along the a/m4 corridor and ground share a new stadium with brentford, makes quite good sense really.

relocation may be the problem. they are selling some estates in hammersmith to private developers. the residents there have been told they only have space for them in barking.

long threas so excuse me if already stated
but the TA are leaving SAR too.....that plastic pitch is a disgrace, the whole area is ripe for regeneration and qpr could get fast track planning permission if they incorporate local facilities, ie gym?

also the loftus rd stadium would be prime redevelopment land, many flats and "units/shops" at ground floor level.

He goes, it's a bit sketchy and hopefully someone on here can explain in more detail as this info has come to me third hand (so I'm worried about Chinese whispers and all that).

Yesterday I heard some very interesting news concerning the BBC offices, BBC Park, Hammersmith & Fulham Council and some blocks of flats on White City. Batman Close residents have held a series of meeting with the council about being relocated because the club is interested in purchasing the land off the council. Relocation sums have been offered to all residents as a means to get them to move out and the coucil will also help relocate then. BBC Park is to be relocated or moved within the surrounding area as part of this massive project. H&F have mentioned the club as the spearhead of all these development proposal.

Am I a few weeks late with this news? Can anyone else possibly explain in more detail?

Surely if true it can only mean a new stadium and if so only the Mittals or Benie could afford to do this. I am sure I've heard somewhere that Bernie holds some of the land rights to the BBC's ground which he leases back to them?
a deal was done ages ago (why do you think the BBC got F1) not hard to work out, said ages ago, the plan is to build a new ground on the BBC site, the board might be tight but their not stupid, they might be "having a look" first, then wham bam thank-you mam they will go the whole hog

                              well lets hope so
