We have to stop making a list from managers out of work. That makes no sense at all. Flavio wouldn't choose racing drivers on the sole basis that they are not with a team at that point.
We need to make a hitlist of 5 managers we want, and in order approach their clubs to get permission to talk, and pay the compensation to get them. That way, we might actually avoid paying compensation the other end of their contract with us!!!
Managers are not paid as much as players (which is ridiculous when you think about it), so it is never as expensive to hire them and pay compensation to their clubs. So let's find the right one, and do this properly now.
And I do NOT think Sven is the right man. We need someone who wants to build something over a period of years, not a man who might spend a year or two here, then jet off to a slightly better offer. We need to get someone who genuinely could be here for 5 years minimum, and can build the infrastructure. And that meand GP to move to another post, either within the club or elsewhere. Nothing personal, but we need experts in every department,
