maybe we should start employing managers on a day rate, like they did with dockers: first unemployed ex-manager to turn up gets the job for the day. There was us thinking it was ridiculous to only give Hart a contract to the end of the season. We should actually have given him a pay-as-you-manage contract.

the sad thing is i no longer get angry or shocked - rather like a marriage where you can no longer be bothered arguing with your wife, you just slowly disengage and think "it doesn't matter any more".
