Yeah, night game, me and Joe Hylton reckon it's one of the most one-sided games we ever saw. We were all over them, couldn't believe we lost AT ALL, never mind 0-4. Mad.

I was in the side with the bar at the back, ended up just standing there drinking and the barman could not believe Orient were winning when we were murdering them. Quite an amazing game, think a young Peter Taylor was playing for them then.

Mine's a cup Game (quarter final?) in 74 against Leicester at LR. I was only 9. First time a Rangers defeat destroyed me. Broke my poor little heart at the time. I think I must have thought we'd win and were on our way to Wembley. Ah well. Got used to it since.

BTW some of the recollections/chronology of the Everton game above may be a little awry. I'm no stato but Everton won the league in 84-85, it was the season before when we lost 3-1 up there. It was still in 84 - Last game of the season or very close to it - but Everton were midtable. I only remember as I was there too . Everton away was always a good day out. Best one was (bizarrely) 86 when we lost 4-3 after being 3 (I think -defimnitely at least 2) up at half time. Poxy Lineker.

1-1 draw away to Bury midweek years ago sticks in my mind when I had a argument with Steve Slade about his commitment at half time

The coach broke down afterwards and the replacement which came hours later would only take us half way home and we eventually ended being picked up at a service station near Birmingham by a hopper bus which got us home about 9am

Mine was our 3-0 win at White Hart Lane in 75/76, my first away game and I asked my Dad could I celebrate if we scored because we were sitting in the main stand.........I need not have asked, loads jumped up when we scored.

Didn't go to Milk Cup Final but went to home game against Spurs the next week. My first one. Ended up being sat behind some Spurs fans is SAR. We got walloped 5-2 with it being 5-0 at one stage. I was mortified.

Other side of coin friendly against Chel**** after we got relegated to League 1 and put in administration. Went with Chel**** fan mate who sat beside me. They played strong line up, went 1-0 up after about 5 mins but we came back and won 3-1. We all thought Leroy Griffiths was going to be a legend! Then there was the one man Chel**** pitch invasion, he turned around saw nobody had followed and sheepishly wandered back to stands. Great beer session afterwards. All in all an excellent game and overall fantastic day out. My mate may not have quite as fond memories as me.

the year we got relegated to the third flight we played norwich (who were in the bottom 3 at the time and we were sitting in mid table) at home on a freezing cold boxing day. think carlisle scored after about 6 mins and the game became very one sided, but in a lazy, boring way, still not exciting - was weird. i said to my nephew that we needed norwich to get an equaliser to liven things up, and they did - they then got a second, won the game, stayed up and we got relegated by a couple of points.
be very careful what you wish for...from harts current tactics (if that's what they are) there might be quite a bit of that to come for the remainder of this season.

Blackpool away in FA cup. Went with my dad, I was about 10 at the time. Drove there and back in a day. 2-2 draw and I think it was on TV. I've no idea why we went but the standing area was lower than the pitch and I think Colin Clarke scored.
                        :drunk:

I was there too. Colin Clarke got both. Drew the replay at home, then won the second replay.

I was there too. It was incredible. I think we had more than 20 chances and they had 4.

Grimsby away in the second leg of the Milk Cup game in the 90s. Went to penalties, and Allan MacDonald got the winning penalty! :waaaht:
