Borrowdale has no positional sense at all.
He gives the opposition to many chances to whip in a good cross.

Not good enough and writtler no offence mate but can you stop talking about fu cking Sousa, we know you want his babys but he is at swansea now and he isn't coming back!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

He was terrible last night. At fault for the first 2 goals. Such basic defending. No wonder he was 3rd choice at Coventry.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

sorry stedders, love your music & all that but you obviously know FA about football, Borrowdale is without doubt the worse left back i have seen down at LR in over 35 years of supporting the R's & i can assure you we've had some garbage over the years, I'd be happy if he could just do the basic stuff like defend, keep goal side of your marker, close the attacker down, but he does none of these, in fact I'd go as far as to say it must feel like we're playing with 10 men, i was in R'block last night about 10 yards from the pitch & the look on players faces when Borrowdale ******s up says it all for me Borrowdale is nothing short of "shocking" and it looks like most of his team mates think the same

PS fair play to you for standing your ground with him, but 95% of QPR supporters can't all be wrong, can they

The third goal was his fault. The first two were NOT. It is so frustrating. Yes a lot of supporters can be wrong if their actual knowledge of coaching/defensive shape is non-existent. I mean, look at how many people watch X Factor - are they all right!!!

As a full back you tuck in when the ball comes down the opposite flank. YOu mark a central player. If the midfield then doesn't mark the back post, that is not the left back's fault. It's basics, it seriosuly is.

I am not saying Borrowdale is the best DF, but I think he is a great passer of the ball and I also think the crowd partly caused the 3rd goal.

Borrowdale, Ramage and Cerny are shot to pieces. If a fall back can not stop crosses coming in and and the goalie cant deal with them, we are screwed. Their marking is non existent and Cerny stays on his line like a coward, instead of coming out and dealing with things like a man.

It is not matter who replaces them as they are currently that bad, they would not be any worse.

100% correct. I pointed their unmarked player out to the guy sitting beside me and said if they get the ball in, they would score.

Complete and utter rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seems as if you don't know about football!

First 2 goals Borrowdale is standing 10 yards infront of the right winger! He is not close enough and why their blokes had ample time to drill the balls past Cerny.

I think there's sense to all views in this thread. I'm not a master tactician but I've felt for months that there's something wrong with our basic shape that leaves us very short/exposed at the back. This makes our defence look a bit creaky. I also think that all of our defenders have looked out of sorts at some point in various games - how much is attributable to their personal basic lack of footballing skill and how much derives from lack of cover/help from the midfield us hard to gauge.
One thing's for sure... there's an awful sense of confidence draining from the team so something has to be sorted.
