is it me or is the messageboard getting a bit heavy?

I have spoken to GP in the past and found him passionate about the club he appears to be hurt by some of the stick he takes, he has even mentioned the Italian waiter jibe are racist but expects it from certain types.

Now I know nothing about Pellicori and if he was forced on Jim, I got the feeling Jim made his own signings.

I read Clives piece the otherday and have to confess he has a point, we have signed to many duffers and someone has to take the blame.

We have DOF so the buck stops there.

Hopefully we can find another role for him as he has kept us alive in his mad old way.

QBP/ CLIVE guys like you have to stop the in-fighting and try and unity our fragmented fanbase.

Ok let's get back to the important issues, what is the lastest Pete? Can you sum up the gossip so I can go off to bed and dream of promotion!

We are 13 points of second place, a game in hand with half a season too go!!!!

When this team plays well it's untouchable, the only reason Jim lost his job was because of his liking for HALL.

We have most of the players in-place, a good window and we will be in the mix at the end of the season.

People talk about chucking money at the situation, but take a look at Pompey and the sheepshaggers.

The message board is an outlet for differing opinions and there is nothing wrong with that.

I do find that when the threads and posters start to get personal with each other and the in-fighting breaks out - some of which goes over my head as I don't know any other poster on a personal level - I tend to come off this board for a couple of days.

Works for me anyway.

I think what these people do not realise is that they are spoiling this site for others with the same old stuff

works both ways...perhaps the negative posters are fed up by the positive posters attitude towards them just because their opinion differs.

the board is supposed to be about discussion & debate......not just all smiles and brush the stuff we don't want to talk about under the carpet.

its ignoring things like negativity that is killing the club........if they took more notice and put certain things right then that reduces the conflicts.

i noticed today people trying to stir the debate by linking to other sites when it was made clear that was no longer are acceptable

sensible debate yes, stirring it up by linking to other sites only causes more trouble here

as I had started a thread regarding the youth policy, I felt it was relevent to post a link to a story that was covered in the
press. It was an interview with flav and amit so was relevant to what had been discussed not only today but over the last few weeks and gave people a reminder to what their intentions were early days.

As for w12 posting a link, it was a rumour to what gp had been overheard saying on the phone. As this is a rumours board, again I don't see a problem with that. In defence of w12, it's better to post the link, that way people can see he's not making stories up, as whenever a rumour is put out, the cry for a source soon follows.

As people have been advised before, you don't have to read rumours

Totally agree, both threads have actually stirred up good debates with some excellent posts from various MB members. Both threads were able to run its course yesterday without being hijacked. It's all about free speech at the end of the day, I have always posted links to other messageboards and always will. Had the rumours been related to transfers no one would bat an eyelid. If other posters are not mature enough to deal with cross message board debate it is their problem. Its QBP's Message board and he has provided good response to debate and not one Moderator has told me to take it down just for the record.
