I think Curbs and GP are quite chummy, as it goes.
    So I've read, anyway.
Maybe, just maybe GP will step aside and let Curbs take the reins
    From the Hills of Kerry
To the streets of Free Derry

Would be superb. He took a club of our size and made them established in the Prem for a fair amount of time.

That's the 3rd time today that's been brought up.

To repeat: David Pleat is not the DoF at Forest, he is a "football consultant" there.

And it's not something that Billy Davies is exactly doing cartwheels about:

In a quiet office at Forest's slightly chaotic academy complex, a mile from the City Ground, Davies reflects on what he has achieved. The conversation confirms the passion and excitement exuded by his jack-in-the-box pitch-side demeanour. Yet it reveals the potential for Forest's progress to be undermined.

It is a question about David Pleat that brings this to the surface. Pleat, the former Spurs manager turned media sage, is Forest's "football consultant", a role that gives him the ear of the club's multi-millionaire owner, the venture capitalist, Nigel Doughty, who is reckoned to have funnelled £50 million into the club.

Pleat's presence would be a source of discomfort for most managers, and rumours of spats with Davies have never been far away. Central to these was Pleat's place on Forest's transfer acquisitions committee, to which Davies must go if he wants to sign a new player.

How long before that little arrangement causes a problem at Forest too??

Has been said many many times that Curbishley is still in a legal dispute with West Ham and until resolved i don't think can take up another post (assume that as it keeps getting mentioned when he;s connected with vacant manager jobs). Also has been said loads he's holding out for a prem job.

So unless he's 1. resolved case and 2. lowered self valuation, he ain't coming to us!

Its simple isnt it, couple of decent signings ie ****tu a decent manager ie curbs, and a lower ticket price would get the place going again!!

But wont happen, ****tu might but curbs and lower prices, dream on, if only.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Curbishley has settled his dispute with WHU just before Xmas IIRC.
