Maybe our team will be much stronger in a few weeks, when the game will be played, and it's all a cunning plan??

        **snaps out of it**

Streets, though not great, are not as bad as yesterday. I expect that the streets tomorrow, although still won't be great, will nevertheless be better than they were today.
To call the game off because Hammersmith & Fulham council couldn't be arsed to grit the streets, is a joke.
Then again, it's a Tory council, good at making cuts to public services, shyte at providing good public services.

From what a friend has told me it's out of the clubs hands and has come mainly from the Police/Council. They are worried that cannot get enough officers to cover the games across the country and there is also a shortage of gritt. We live in a blame society and its the same thing as with whats happening with the school. All worried that if they open and someone hurts themself there could be a whopping 'Where there's a blame, there's a claim' saga. That's my take anyway.

Would have loved it to be on. Worked from home since Wednesday because the snow is real bad in my area and am bored pooless as a result. Was also supposed to be going to a pal's 30th in Reading tomorrow night which I think he'll now called off. Suppose I'll have to give the bird one now for a little excitement otherwise it'll be a disaster!

Let's be clear about this, if there was a concert at Wembley, a rugby game at Twickenham, etc... they would not be called off.

Westfields, Bluewater, Lakeside, and every Tesco/Sainsburys in Britain will be open tomorrow.
Football fans are always treated like s**t by the Police, local authorities and parts of the media. Cattle who are not important, and can accept any shoddy treatment piled on them.

Even by their own clubs*, at times.

(*not in this case, before the defensive stuff starts again)

for the record i live in the new flats by the wembley arena / stadium and there is no way the council would permit an event to take place in these conditions

The roads are fine but the pavements are seriously dodgy

My missus broke her knee in similar circumstances this time last year in these conditions we are seeing now

the club are right to call this off, they cant be blamed for adverse weather conditions
