Just spotted Jim Magilton in Liverpool

Passed Mag about an hour ago outside Moorfields station in the city centre. He was yakking into a mobile but I still blurted out "Jim?!" as we passed. He said "alright", presumably out of politeness, and we continued on in opposite direction to each other. Shame he was on the phone otherwise I'd have engaged him in some chat.
He looked very fit/tanned/relaxed - obviously been somewhere sunny recently.
I know he played for Liverpool (mainly reserves) yonks ago but I'm not aware of him having any sort of base/home in Merseyside so I wonder what he's here for - maybe a number 2 or reserve/youth post?

Yep - much bigger than I imagined. He always looks a bit runty/pasty buried in a football coat. Striding along in his smart civvies he cut an impressive/imposing figure though. I reckon he must be about 5'10", maybe a bit more - deffo wouldn't want to rile him!
