Paul Hart fires warning over QPR's transfer activity
- PAUL Hart insists he has the ultimate say in who comes and goes at the club - but says he has not been given limitless funds.
- The January transfer window has inevitably led to the club being linked to a host of players - including ex Ranger Nigel Quashie, who is on loan to MK Dons from West Ham, Stoke City midfielder Amdy Faye and strikers Caleb Folan of Hull and David Elm of Fulham.
There is also talk of Hart raiding former club Portsmouth for keeper Jamie Ashdown and striker Danny Webber.
The new QPR boss said: "I'm not one for discussing the actual nuts and bolts of what we need, because what I say can have an effect on the people we employ.
"There are areas where I feel we can strengthen across the board and I think if I can make the improvements I want in terms of recruitment, we can be in the top six.
"I'd also like to improve the way we do a lot of things at the club, but I and don't like talking about things until they are actually done."
Hart continued: "It's ultimately my decision who comes and goes.
"[Chairman] Flavio Briatore calls me and I've met him face to face the once before I came here, but I haven't spoken to him in a couple of weeks now. I report to [Director of Football] Gianni Paladini and that's the way we work.
"So far, Gianni hasn't put forward players. People coming in and leaving will be down to me.
But there isn't millions of pounds to spend and there's got to be a certain amount of wheeling and dealing. It's possible that players leaving has to happen first.
"It's a major problem that many people assume we have a limitless budget. There's an expectation because of the perception of the club's wealth, but the perception is wrong. It's not quite as rosy as everybody believes.
"Everybody things that QPR are splashing dough all over the place and it's not the case."

Point 1- Sounds like a hastily scrabbled together press puff piece to counter speculation on this board and I wish the club didn't react to every rumour. I only said that "I'd heard" which tallied into another posters comments. I have no idea whether that was true, but in the usual format of a rumours based message board, worth posting for onward debate.
Point 2 - Given that that statement is so cravenly directed at this message board in particular and given the track record of previous transfer dealings, does Paul Hart or Gianni expect the supporters to swallow that without further discussion, which brings us back to Point 1, what does that statement achieve?
well there's the answer we were all looking for we aint got millions of pounds to spend no ambition then. 2 billionaire owners plus briatore worth about 200 million, i call that tight in my book so expect some more crap signings or freebies from italy or outer mongolia.
if he calls the shots, i am eddie murphy!
just smacks of desperation and name dropping to preserve those above him...
he can't win, won't win and won't last....it's just WHEN HE GOES not if....not his fault but there we go...out out out!

That's why they all have money... we spend our money on the Rangers and they didn't, now were giving them our money.

Are you saying that all the teams in low divisions and clubs that don't have money are not ambitious?
I feel most clubs are but they are more real about it than us fans, it's like saying why have a 2/3 bedroom house when you can have a 10 bedroom with swimming pool?
