Tonights arsenal game should have gone ahead & likewise our game should on sat with undersoil heating, otherwise may as well save money & turn the undersoil heating off and reduce our tickets?

    Rant over

Yes it did - and more regularly.

Most pitches are ok if covered and with undersoil heating.
Problem is H&S - roads and pavements around the ground etc.

In the 60s and 70s Loftus Road resembled a swamp.
QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."

Nothing to do with with the pitch, H&S outside the ground.

winter of 63 there was no games for months, it was the longest rangers went un-defeated in years
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

interesting comment on radio this am about this from Danny Baker. Not sure if he is correct but stated that a professional American Football game has not been called off due to poor weather for 20 years.

Some of those cities have far worse conditions than UK.

Why should football be responsible for the conditions away from the ground? Supermarkets and cinemas are allowed to open...?

it has nothing to do with the pitch - it is to do with people getting to the stadium.

difference is these places are prepared for it

                    financially and logistically

we are not prepared because we hardly ever have this sort of weather.

With all our money, can't we install under road and under pavement heating in Shepherds Bush?

How did they manage it in the 60s & 70s? More modern times these days which suggest it should be easier.
