I'm sorry but how can the following be classed as good signings or success stories?
Damien Delaney Hull (yes we got our transfer fee back, but he took big money from us for 18 months)
Gary Borrowdale Coventry (a farce at first, now steady, but again we overpaid in transfer fee, wages and signing on fee)
Hogan Ephraim West Ham (big earner, proved nothing)
Lee Cook Fulham (massive earner, long contract, permanently injured)
Mikele Leigertwood Sheff Utd (decent player but overpaid)
Patrick Agyemang Preston (four year contract on big money for an eight game run that he's never had before in his career and never will again. Can't even control the ****** ball.)
Tom Williams Peterborough (one good game and back to peterborough)
and at the end of the day the team is no better than it was at the end of january 2008. results show it.

There was a time. A long time ago, when I used to get as similarly hot under the collar as some are on this thread. But you know what guys and girls? It aint worth it!
Btw, I love Pete to bits. I love Clive to bits. But everyone's different and a good job too I say.
Oh, and that Vauxhall Motors game at Cheshire was a real laugh

I think many at QPR are feeling it, in varying degrees lately.

A very good read and agreement with his assessment of some of the current players / past players that have signed for us.
Having seen the current crop of possible signings to us in this window - it does make me wonder who is bringing them in.
If there is any "link" between messagebaords and QPF FC - and they want to get the fans back on their side... all it takes is a couple of DECENT signings.
A decent forward to compliment Simpson...who is not our player
A decent midfielded to replace Mahon
At least one decent full back.
I have to say - i must know sh.t all about football.
Ramage. When he was at Newcastle i always liked him as a player.Got a bad injury - came to us.Initially I was excited....but it was quite apparant from the start he lacked pace.Pace is Vital for a full back.He tackles and heads well and appears to come across as a decent bloke.
Borrowdale - Just my opinion.Very poor left back.maybe 1st Div or even 2nd Div status.
So why ...all the managers we have - persist with these full backs....?
Like i say - life is about opinions, we are all entitled to them, but agree with Clive - we really do not seem to have moved on over past 2 years and the quality we are bringing in are no better than what we have at present.
Somebody is not getting it right ...and hasn't for some years and that's becoming worrying.

In no uncertain terms he costs us approx £1 million per annum in wages plus 750k transfer fee (which has been reported).
So to summise he has probably cost us around £3 million if you deduct transfer fees from one another....good bit of business that.

Delaney, Ephraim, Borrowdale, Cook, Legs, Agyemang - You rue the amount we paid for them or wages. That's not really their fault. We are known as a rich club, so fees and wages are set artificially high as soon as our interest is known. We're all mercenaries at heart, wanting the most rewards for our effort.
I prefer to gauge their success of performances on the pitch.
Delaney & Agyemang & Legs all played their part in keeping us up.
Delaney deteriorated, so we got rid and got our money back (possibly more) so I'm not bothered by that.
Agyemang has deteriorated scoring wise, but Magilton's treatment (if to be believed), hardly gave him the opportunity to score regularly, Watford goal celebration ? My main issue is the length of his contract, ridiculous for a bench warmer (as he was at Preston also). Touch of a rapist - agreed !
Legs - I still say worthy of a new contract and a place in our squad.
Ephraim - Tend to agree with you and now needs to prove his worth and live up to his potential.
Borrowdale & Williams again I take you point, and perhaps neither have done enough yet to consider as good signings.
Lee Cook - Legend for his finacial gesture alone. I REALLY hope he comes back soon and reproduces the form we know he can. Then he'll be an unqualified success.
Anyway, I doubt even top Prem teams get transfers right 70% of the time.
Is the team better than Jan 2008 ? I think it probably is....but not by much.
Jan 1st 3-1 v Leicester
1. Lee Camp
25. Bob Malcolm 28. Zesh Rehmann 5. Damion Stewart 3. Chris Barker
11. Gareth Ainsworth 14. Martin Rowlands 7. Adam Bolder (c) 26. Rowan Vine
10. Akos Buzsacky 9. Dexter Blackstock
Subs
Gavin Mahon on for Gareth Ainsworth
Marc Nygaard on for Adam Bolder
Simon Walton on for Dexter Blackstock
Subs Not Used
Jake Cole
Angelo Balanta
I think 6 of those, we've improved on.
Ramage for all his faults IS better than Bob Malcom
Gorkss IS better than Rehmann.
Borrowdale IS better than Chris Barker
Faurlin/Mahon IS better than Bolder.
We've got better than Nygaard & Walton on the bench most games also.
But it's certainly better than 2006/7 which was my point.
Great debate though, what it's all about for me.

Agyemang is ****e whatever way you look at it - quite simply straight out of the Steve Slade school of forwards - 1 in 6 career average for a forward is awful, simply awful and worthy of a 4.5 year contract at 1/2 mill a year? What muppet could possibly justify awarding him that? Don't blam ehim at all - indeed if it is true re him standing up to JM over Buzzgate then he is a top bloke but on the field? - come on..."Originally Posted by qblockpete

agree agypants is pants. but then ecclestone gave an interview patting himself on the back as to how the board had re-invented the rules of football by buying a forward for peanuts who was brilliant. I'm open minded on the gianni debate - on balance think its time he stepped aside - but this club is rotten to its core. getting rid of gianni isn't nec going to improve much.
