    Well thought out and honest.

Now all of sudden Sousa was a great manager.

      after Southampton

The players don’t seem sure of the roles they are being asked to play and poor results as a consequence of that have resulted in loss of confidence. The problems this chopping and changing was designed to eradicate are still obvious – this was our ninth goalless draw of the season and the eighteenth time we have failed to score in a game.

Still bugs me about Sousa, because I can read and it was obvious at the time he wanted him to go, now all of a sudden "what a great manager he was", keeping people onside is what I would call it.
So would you describe your campaign against Sousa as "positive" then?
        Unbelievably hypocritical.

Gone straight for the Sousa angle then Pete?

And not placing any opinion on the GP side of the article except to say "it's his opinion".

at home to Norwich, these are not comments you give a "really good manager"

A poor performance, chances missed, a bad defeat to a team that may yet be relegated and all played out in front of several thousand very soggy and disgruntled QPR fans. As an advert for season ticket sales it was about as good as the covering letter Rangers are sending out with this year’s form. From a ticket sales point of view this is not a good time for the team to be suffering a crisis in form and confidence and I say again, the tide turns quickly against QPR managers under the new regime. The club can say the season ticket price is a good deal until they’re blue in the face – it’s not. Likewise Sousa can talk about building for next season as much as he likes, if we keep playing like this he won’t be around to see it however ridiculous we may think the idea of sacking yet another manager may be.

Big difference I said Sousa was rubbish from the outset, I haven't come on here saying he was rubbish and then a few months down the line to get "onside" say what a good manager he was.

Thats the difference, I've always not liked Sousa, not suddenly been converted because a few fans want me to be.

                    Can I suggest something?

Lets not move this into a slagging off war? Clive is well respected and well respected for a reason....lets face it ALL OF US thought the footy under sousa was frigging sh/te..clive did, you did, i did, every fan i know did..the debate is how he was booted/should he have been booted. The debate is not our opinions on what we had to endure watching his team.

This is a conversation about GP (who i consider a friend)..not about Sousa, not about Clive and not about any other individual.

it has nothing to do with Sousa.

                    Just my opinion like.

Sorry but that last piece - while critical of PS - seems to be having a go at the board more than anyone.
Having a whinge about the style of footy, yes. But mostly outlining how immediate results have to be under these owners.
Nowhere does it say - PS is rubbish and should be sacked.

i have to agree with pete insofar as the sousa is currently being viewed by many in rose-tinted hindsight now that swansea are ahead of us and prem clubs are rumoured to be interested- i don't agree with the manner in which he was ousted but i remember most posters being disenchanted with him to some degree at the time, and nor did it much seem like he had a progressive plan for the team besides a strictly defensive mindset. perhaps time and injuries easing would have told otherwise, but we'll never know.

generally i like the idea of a sporting director in the sense of having continuity between managers, and feel quite sad for paladini sometimes, but he doesn't half dig himself into some indefensible p.r holes. i don't really even have that much of a problem with his transfer record actually - the wages (hall), medical research (helguson) and length of contracts (agyemang) being given out is more the issue that's hard to forgive.

Still negative however you spin it.
Now your accusing other posters of being negative.
                          THAT Sir is hypocritical.

Of course it is Scott. But Pete is unable to participate in a reasoned debate regarding GPs role and performance in that role.
I know why - what is infuriating is his incessant habit of turning such debates into something else.

Why do the same people always seem to disrupt threads which discuss GP. This kinda lends to what he said about the birth of WATRB.

"I did feel at the time, and still do now, that he wanted to use rivals as a sort of alternative mouthpiece, to defend himself against the stuff appearing in the standard etc and I think that's how WATRB is used as well."
