"Faurlin cost nothing" ?
Can you elaborate on that Kingy10
Although I can't believe we've shelled out £3.5m, I do recall something around £500k paid to a milan club for his registration reported before. I'd would imagine we MUST have paid something to acquire his services......
Then, you suggest Mahon, Agy, Cook, Buzz, Hall & Gorkss & Connolly all Pre Flav. I don't think so, I'm sure all came in within months of FB & BE taking over. Last signing Pre Flav would have been Legs and I think that money was provided by the silver haired one prior to his official takeover.
I seem to recall (and backed up in the recent Complete Record book update - Gordon Macey ?)
Vine, Connolly both a cool million.
Hall & Legs & HH all close to that figure. Cook also around that mark.
Wayne 500k ? Buzz 500k
Dave 300k ? Kaspar 350k
Borrowdale - god knows, likewise many other 'undisclosed' deals.
I conservatively reckon 10 million ? Then consider wages over last 2 years.
Vine...£1 million,Connolly......£800,000,Legs....£750,000,Ha ll....£750,000,Hogan....£500,000,Pat.....£350,000, Delaney...£600,000,Buzz...£500,000,Helguson...£600 ,000,Routledge....£500,000,Gorkss.....£250,000,Bor rowdale....£200,000,Cook.....£500,000=around £6 million i think
Legs, after Flav arrived, OK. My memory is not what it used to be.
But I thought £900 or £950k. I could be wrong, but we're kind of in the same ball park on both points.
I do recall wondering where we got that kind of money from. Which is probably why I thought it was pre Flav's arrival.
I do think we're slightly better off Pete, back in 2006/7 we could have been watching this starting XI.....
Cole, Curtis, Barker, Walton, Malcolm, Cullip, Bailey, Bolder, Nardiello, Nygaard & Moore.
I bet even the current lot would beat them.
