Depends what your definition of knights in shining armour is!

Again.. it comes down to expectations. If the Mittals did come in and people expect them to stabilise the club and run it properly then that is a realistic hope. If people are expecting them to come in and pump £20million on players.. then yes - dreamland.

Amit comes as part of a package that includes the Mittals. He could also entice other investors - so let's not underestimate him.

Amit as Chairman would be a very solid start...

I am not sure it is a realistic hope fishcake. Why would they know how to run a football club well? Don't give me the old argument that they must know a thing or two or they wouldn't be loaded. It doesn't translate to football.

We said that about Flab too.

Better the devil you know, eh?

You could say that about ANY failing chairman/manager.. in any business.

Nobody could be 100% sure what would happen if FB lost his appeal (although plenty like to pretend they know the score with legal issues, and mind-reading billionaires future intentions), but I agree with the original posting on this thread.
I understand what you mean, but given the current atmoshphere at QPR... I'd take my chances on the Indians.

Agree to an extent mate, but as a very astute businessman, I doubt he'll throw money around for nothing. I'm sure he'll spend what's needed to get us to a good standard though. Why would he want to do this while Briatore is still at the club, putting his nose in and upsetting the atmousphere for the team and fans alike?

They knew how much money they'd have to shell out when they took over, so I doubt they're against putting in a decent amount.

Maybe I'm thinking more heart than head, but after speaking direct with Amit who although isn't the money man is also a big part of the Mittal wealth, his passion was unquastionable and not something you can fake. Everything was said with a smile and excitement and beliefe that he could make us a big club.

As another poster mentioned above...if they were not interested, they'd have walked away already. Surely there must be something there?
            Your mum would love me...

He's only on the board to represent the Mittal's shareholding & the Sarita deal. If the Mittal's don't want to know, Amit goes IMO.

                    Some good points...some not so.

Finger of blame pointing firmly at Briatore, I hold BE & AB equally responsible.

Yet another supporter who is convinced the Mittals are our saviour...YAWN!

Take Paladini out of the equation and lets see how much better we do when Briatore is not being ill advised. Yes he has to take responsibility but he is the main man and will be foreseeable future.
