I don't think he's too bad actually. Fulham has an option to lengthen his contract by 2 years and wants to use this option already..they're obviously happy with what they've seen and he hasn't even played a single game yet.

I don't know this guy, but if Fulham want to loan, rather than sell, and he is 27 - I don't really get it. Can't be developing for the future and if he was a good squad player that made a lot of appearances I would have thought he would be better known.

        Rather have Nevland.
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

I follow Kalmar, Elm's last club in Sweden, and have seen him play 50-60 times so I know quite a lot of his qualities.

          Pros
Big and strong, good target player which we really lack at the moment
Always give 110% and his style of play would suit very well in the Championship
          Very good left foot

          Cons
          Not a 20 goals/season striker, didn't score a lot for Kalmar
Might need a few games to find his feet and adopt to the high tempo

Thanks Jack, sounds like what I was expecting. The Elm brothers all seem like genuine players with a lot of heart and guts.

He might be the target man Hart is looking for..

We could do a lot worse. Could surprise a few, he´s better than many people think. Makes other players better and is a strong and quite mobile target man. As a loan for the rest of the season, and with Helguson prob going, I`d say go for it. We need that kind of player in the squad.

The top 5 teams play a lot better than Rangers do at the moment.

But as stated above, Elm's no goalscoring machine. Not really what he's asked to focus on either.

Thanks for the info based on facts rather than the sweeping generalisations of many. If he can hold the ball up for Simpson then he doesn't need to score that many, a few with his head would be a bonus though. I always rated Rob Steiner and he sounds very similar.

I have been to Kalmar and my Brother in law has seen them play a few times and he did bring to my attention that Elm was on his way to Fulham, he said that he had been impressed with him when he had seen him play in Kalmars championship winning side the season before last. My In laws live the other side of the bridge from Kalmar on the Island 'O'land.

Steve Thompson had a poor scoring rate before joining Burnley and he was fantastic for them doing exactly as you stated.

Don't really think dutch elm disease will really be the answer as I have never heard of him! Between Elm & Webber I would rather go with webber TBH...(and even that is scraping the barrel).

Knowing our lot we'll end up signing Robert Elms. Although he'd be a step up from Pellicori.
